Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Each auto-translation costs credits based on the character count of the source string — about 1 credit per 67 characters, with a 1-credit minimum per translation. Credits never expire and you can top up at any time from the Wallet page.

Wordzilla supports JSON, XLIFF 1.2, XLIFF 2.0, CSV, and Excel (.xlsx). Upload any of these when creating a project, and export your completed translations back to any format from the editor toolbar.

Auto-translation uses the OpenAI API to produce high-quality, context-aware translations. You can select a translation style (formal, casual, technical, etc.) or write custom instructions to guide the output — per string or for an entire batch.

Wordzilla supports 30+ languages including right-to-left scripts such as Arabic and Hebrew. All languages use standard BCP-47 codes. New languages can be added to existing projects at any time.

Auto-translation is paused until you top up your balance. Your existing translations, projects, and files are never affected. You can top up instantly from the Wallet page using Stripe.

Unused credits can be refunded within 14 days of purchase, provided less than 10 % of the purchased credits have been consumed. Contact us via this form and we will process the refund promptly.

Open the translation editor for your project and click the download icon in the toolbar. Choose your preferred format: JSON, CSV, XLIFF 1.2, XLIFF 2.0, or Excel. Only the currently selected target language is exported.

All data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security enabled — only you can read or modify your projects and translation units. Source strings are sent to OpenAI only when you explicitly trigger auto-translation.
